A Biophony™ Album
Carolina Woods is located to the northwest of Columbia midway across the state and represents a spring soundscape typical of that part of the southeastern United States. We managed to capture a few quiet moments of magic over a period of dawns that remind us of what this region must have sounded like just a few short centuries ago.
Birds: Blue jay, American goldfinch, cardinal, mourning dove, flycatcher, lazuli bunting, rose-breasted grosbeak, red-headed woodpecker, red-throated hummingbird, screech owl, tanager, towhee, tree swallow. Mammals: Red fox, woodchuck.
