A Biophony™ Album

Sonoma Valley (Jack London's "Valley of the Moon") features several little-known California state parks, each with its own spectacular natural biophony. This composite soundscape was recorded at dawn in Sugarloaf State Park over the period of a week during the spring of 2006. The undisturbed old growth site of this recording suggests what the Valley has sounded like for probably thousands of years.

Birds: Mourning Dove, Black eyed Junco, American Robin, Black-headed Grosbeak, Rufous-sided Towhee, House Finch, Blue Jay, Acorn Woodpecker, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Pileated Woodpecker, Wild Turkey, Goldfinch, White-crowned Sparrow, Western Tanager, Red-shouldered Hawk.
